Register for Women Build 2026

Join us for Women Build 2026 as we come together to build strength, stability, and self-reliance through affordable homeownership in Schenectady County.

Women Build is a national Habitat for Humanity initiative that empowers women to make a lasting impact in their community. Whether you've swung a hammer before or are stepping onto a construction site for the first time, you'll work alongside skilled volunteers and Habitat staff to help build a brighter future for a local family.

No Experience Needed

No construction experience or tools are required—just a willingness to learn, get your hands dirty, and be part of an incredible day of teamwork and purpose. You'll receive all necessary safety instructions, training, and project assignments when you arrive.

Volunteer Details

• Build Days: September 17, 19, or 23, 2026

• Time: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

• Age Requirement: Volunteers must be at least 16 years old (parental consent required for anyone under 18). Minor volunteers will have some restrictions including not being allowed to use power tools, so we will need to confirm in advance of the day that there is something appropriate for them to do.

• Lunch, water, and a commemorative Women Build T-shirt will be provided.

• The build site address and additional event details will be emailed to registered volunteers before their selected build day.

Help Build More Than a House

There is no cost to participate, but we encourage each volunteer to help further Habitat's mission by raising $100 through a personal fundraising page. Every dollar helps provide safe, affordable housing opportunities for families in our community.

Choose One Build Day

To give as many women as possible the opportunity to participate, please register for one build day only. Space is limited, and registration is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Bringing a Group?

The online registration form is intended for individual volunteers. If you are interested in registering a company, organization, or community group, please contact us directly. If Women Build reaches capacity, we'd be happy to discuss scheduling a dedicated Habitat Community Build Day for your team.
